I would not recommend this tour to anyone!
But only because I very selfishly want to keep this tour to myself 🙂
And with that I told a big lie: this tour is my heart's desire, and I'm proud to show it to the whole world (HELLO, I LIVE HERE!!!), and so far I haven't had to be ashamed in front of even the most special guests.
I'm talking about the hike through the vineyards of Mužsla.
It's a hike suitable for all four seasons. Whether you're just here for a few hours of walking, wine tasting or a sleepover with friends, all options are suitable.
There's a maze of labyrinthine paths, but it's impossible to get lost here: always uphill, then right or left, then left, then right, or left, or even right. It doesn't matter, because it's beautiful from every point. From the higher places you have a beautiful view, from some parts you can see the Esztergom Basilica, but if the visibility is good, you can see all the way to Komárno! At full moon the moon is big and red and Every Single Sunset (yes, just like that, in capital letters) is exceptional (in fashionable terms - dramatic). If the winemakers are out and about, you can ask them for wine, you can rarely go wrong with a wine from Mužsla. Our winemakers are communicative, they'll talk about anything, and you might be able to join them for some work together - pruning, hoeing, harvesting, there's always something to do. It makes a glass of wine taste even better! But don't leave everything to chance: ask for an organised wine tasting! For example, at our place, where we serve our quality wines in a very pleasant environment, with local delicacies.
Don't miss it! The picturesque landscape and delicious wine are the main reasons to come here. Endless rows of vines, fruit trees and acacia groves, an endless spectrum of colours, the chance to come across wildlife (mainly deer and foxes), but also old cellars which - praise the initiative - they are trying to preserve. And speaking of colours, I can't leave out the painter of our vineyards, Lajos Gróf, whose paintings can be found not only in the homes of the inhabitants of Mužsla, but also at the seasonal exhibitions of the Borvák Winery. You will find the Mužsla vineyards easily: you will be drawn here by some strange force ;-) from Štúrovo take the road to Nové Zámky, just before the turn to Bela, turn right at the Jesus, and from the direction of Nové Zámky the same way, but to the left (after the turn to Bela). A short drive uphill and you will find yourself in a parking lot where you can leave your car (although it is not worth driving to the wine tour).
We really do ask visitors to keep it to a minimum: no littering, no picking fruit without permission, say a nice hello to everyone and then we're always happy to welcome you back.
